Marta  lived in Springfield, Ohio all her life, up until her graduation from Ohio University when she accepted a design position at GMK Associates. Her love for art and design came very early, learning to draw as a small child. She began developing her design skills after purchasing the computer game, Sims. The purpose of the game is to create a person or family and live their lives, gaining skills, going to work.. Another feature of the game is the option of building and designing houses. This was Marta's favorite part. Her enjoyment for creating these houses was greater than actually playing the game. Shortly after the purchase of Sims, she realized she wanted to go into the field of design. Her decision to major in Interior Architecture was an easy one.

Marta has always been very dedicated and hardworking when trying to achieve her goals. She does not let any obstacles get in her way. Wanting to move out of Ohio for quite some time, she achieved her goal of moving to a more southern state to work at an Architecture/Interior Design firm.

In her spare time she enjoys photography, cooking, and outdoor activities that involve hiking, disc golf and water. Because she loves music, she bought a guitar recently to learn to play as a form of relaxation. Spending time with family is very important to her, along with company of friends.
